Duofilm Liquid
Duofilm liquid is used on the skin to remove warts containing. It contains the active ingredients Salicylic Acid 16.7% and Lactic Acid 15.0%. The salicylic acid works by breaking down keratin, which is the protein that forms part of the skin’s structure. This therefore results in the skin cells shedding away from the affected area. As the affected skin is removed over a period of time, the new skin that grows underneath will be healthy. The lactic acid is included to enhance the performance of the salicylic acid and therefore speed up the process of treatment.

Adults, including the elderly and children 12 years and over:
- Apply once daily, using the brush in the pack.
- It may take 6 to 12 weeks to completely remove your wart.
How to use Duofilm:
- Remove any plasters.
- Soak the warts in hot water for five minutes.
- Dry the area with your own towel.
- Rub the top of the warts carefully with a pumice stone or emery board.
- Then put on enough Duofilm to cover the warts. Try not to get it on the normal skin around the warts.
- Let the Duofilm dry.
- Cover the wart with a plaster if it is large or on your foot.
Ingredients: The active substances are lactic acid 15.0% w/w and salicylic acid 16.7% w/w. The other ingredient is flexible collodion (contains pyroxylin, colophony, virgin castor oil, ethanol and ether)
What else to know: Flammable keep away from open flames.
- Always avoid contact with the eyes, open cuts and grazes and mucous membranes.
- Do not use this gel on your face, neck, breasts, and anal region, genitals or on your armpits.
- Do not use on moles.
- Do not use if you have diabetes or if you have impaired peripheral blood circulation.
- If your skin becomes irritated please discontinue use.
The length of treatment will vary depending on the size and resistance of the wart. Some warts can require up to 12 weeks treatment before they disappear. It is important that you do not give up on the treatment until the wart has disappeared. If the wart has not disappeared or is worsening tell your doctor or pharmacist.
