Nurofen Rapid Relief 200mg Liquid Capsules contains ibuprofen which belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs provide relief by changing the body’s response to pain, swelling and high temperature. Nurofen Rapid Relief Liquid Capsules are for the relief: Headaches, Migraine, Period pain, Dental pain, Neuralgia, Muscular strain, Rheumatic pain, Cold and flu symptoms, Fever, Inflammation.

Information

Suggested Directions:

  • Take with water.
  • Adults and children from 12 years: Swallow 2 capsules with water, then if necessary 1-2 capsules every 4 hours (maximum 6 capsules in 24 hours).
  • Do not chew the capsules.
  • Not suitable for children under 12 years.
  • Do not dose more frequently than 4 hour intervals.
  • For short time use only and do not exceed the stated dose.
  • Please consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen more than 3 days.

Ingredients: Each liquid capsule contains 200mg ibuprofen. The other ingredients are Polyethylene Glycol 600, Potassium Hydroxide, Sorbitol Liquid, partially dehydrated, Gelatin, Purified Water, Ponceau 4R (E124), Lecithin, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, isopropyl alcohol and HMPC 2910/hypromellose 3cP.

What else to know:

Do not take Nurofen Rapid Relief 400mg Tablets if you:

  • are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients (see below) or to aspirin or other painkillers
  • have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding
  • have had a worsening of asthma, skin rash, itchy runny nose or facial swelling when previously taking ibuprofen, aspirin or similar medicines
  • have had gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation when previously taking NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
  • are taking other NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs)
  • are taking more than 75mg of aspirin a day. If you are on low-dose aspirin (up to 75mg daily) speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you take this medicine
  • have severe liver or kidney problems
  • have heart problems, high blood pressure or blood coagulation disorder
  • have breathing difficulties
  • are under 12 years old.

Check with your pharmacist or your doctor before taking this product if you:

  • have or have had asthma
  • have kidney, heart, liver or bowel problems
  • have high cholesterol or previously have had a heart attack or stroke
  • have a history of gastrointestinal disease (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease)
  • have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (a condition of the immune system causing joint pain skin changes and other organ disorders)
  • are a smoker
  • if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
